Urbanization development on river hydrology

چکیده
In this study both data of land use and cover were compared for selected period time it is obvious that urban area significantly increased in Saline River watershed, Arkansas, USA. For hydrologic studies analysis WMS 8.1 program was used to delineate the watershed other processes. further analysis, HEC-HMS analyze results hydrographs peak flows. Results show there impact processes due urbanization.

Urbanization alters watershed hydrology in the Piedmont of North Carolina
The ecohydrologic effects of urbanization that is dominated by forests clearing are not well understood in the southeastern United States. We utilized long-term monitoring data to quantify the annual water balance, stormflow characteristics, and seasonal flow patterns of an urbanized watershed (UR) (0Ð70 km2) and compared it to a fully forested watershed (FOR) (2Ð95 km2) in central North Caroli...
متن کاملThe effect of urbanization on stream hydrology in hillslope watersheds in central Texas
This study examined the effect of urbanization on stream hydrology in hillslope watersheds. Ten streams (seven in hillslope and three in gentle slope watersheds) around Austin, Texas were selected for analysis. For each stream, we compared parameters of transfer function (TF) models estimated from daily rainfall and streamflow data collected in two study periods (October 1988–September 1992 and...

Great changes in land use/land cover from rapid urbanization have occurred in the PearlRiver Delta, China. As the primary cause of land development in the urbanization process, urban expansion has mostly occurred on land with higher NPP, significantly impacting theregional ecosystems. The primary purpose of this study was to reveal the impacts of urbanexpansion on the regional NPP. The land cove...
